Ascochyta blight on faba bean is caused by the fungus Ascochyta fabae.

Development of the symptoms

The disease is present in foci in the field, all the organs of the plant (leaves, stems, pods, seeds) show symptoms.

The infection spots are few at the beginning, they look like burn marks and are often superior to 5 mm in diameter.
